Your opportunity to visit Heinz and Angela Gugger's farm, 'Mary Valley Orchards'. Originally from Switzerland, heinz and Angela moved to Gympy for a lifestyle change, and to grow Persimmons. Their farm is operated using organic and biodynamic based principles. A fantastic chance to learn more about sustainable agriculture, and you will be led around the farm, as well as enjoying lunch on the farm.
Eden Hope Organic Farms on Sunday
After the farm tour, camping is available at Eden Hope Organic Farms, or you could find accommodation in Gympie instead. On Sunday, you will be shown around Eden Hope, and meet the 60 cows which produce the milk.
This tour is held this Saturday and Sunday, 7th and 8th of May, starting at 9:30am.
3 different tickets are available:
- Day ticket (adults and kids) – $15 – includes morning tea and lunch, and kids activity materials (the afternoon session will be directed towards grown up Food Connectors).
- Full ticket (adults) – $28 – includes morning tea and lunch, dinner and breakfast.
- Full ticket (kids) – $22 – includes morning tea and lunch, kids activity materials, dinner and breakfast.
