Forums and Blogs are great places to find the tips and advice to help with your tropical plants. It is important to learn the specific care instructions for your tropical plants. Species and varieties of the same kind of plant may have a different list of requirements. This information may be found online by using search engines but the results don’t always yield the best answers. In order to obtain accurate information on your plant types follow the instructions from the nursery of purchase and also ask for tips online in garden forums and blog posts.
My old habits were to use search engines to find growing tips for my tropical plants. This is still a good method to find general information and if I was fortunate, I would find plenty of detail on my specific plant purchases from local plant nurseries. When I started buying plants online, I also changed the way I investigated more details about the plants I purchased.
At National Tropical Plants there are several ways to research the plants you buy or the plants you are deciding to buy.
Look for National Tropical Plants Grow Notes
Many plants have ‘Grow Notes’ click on the text and it will open to more information on the selected plant.
Read other Gardener's 'Growing Tips'

Near the bottom of each product page is a section dedicated to ‘Growing Tips’, this is a section where consumers can leave feedback and tips on the products they purchased. This is a good place to find information from people that are planting the same plants which you are buying.
Ask the Questions you need Answered with Forums and Blogs
You can also find many features at the top of each page. The blogs and forums are a great place to find additional information and discuss gardening with other enthusiasts.

Here is an example of a question in the forums.
Question: Can I grow the Purple Garlic Vine Indoors?
Can someone please tell me if the Purple Garlic Vine (Mansoa allicea) can be grown in a container indoors?
Thank you in advance,
Cindy
Answer: Re:Can I grow the Purple Garlic Vine Indoors?
I don't see any reason why this wouldn't work. I suggest a big pot with enough for the plant to feel free. You can then trim the purple garlic vine back and/or insert a pot trellis or plant ladder to let the purple garlic plant flourish a bit more freely.

Preparing for your New Plant
Before making a choice, consider the amenities that you can offer the new plant so it can be successfully grown. Knowing a plant’s particular species and characteristics will help ensure you provide the right amount of light, water, soil and nutrients. If planting in a garden, consider the amount of space you have and the amount of room the plant will need at full growth. If a tree is desired, make sure to investigate how tall it will grow and check overhead of the planting area for future obstructions like power lines.
Many people purchase baby plants online and nurture them in a home plant nursery before planting in the garden. Seedlings, or baby plants, need a good place to grow and if you are starting a home nursery, most plants like a warm area with proper sun exposure. Nurture these little plants with close attention to the particular specie’s care instructions and the results should be full grown adult plants.
