Scarlet Fuchsia (Graptophyllum excelsum), starts beautifully in the nursery. Small plants 10 – 20 cm tall, snuggling in their warm soil beneath the glass hood of my backyard plant nursery. I love the ‘wild’ smell of these little shrubs warming within my greenhouse. The Scarlet Fuchsia grow hefty but they begin to sprout their vibrant flowers before full growth. This is a non invasive shrub that is suitable for most climates, minus the extremes.
