Tropical Garden, Spider Plant, Pentas, Gingers
A stunning tropical garden with impressive flower display by Pink Pentas (with the pink flowers). A tree stump gives the Madagascar Jasmine (Stephanotis floribunda) something to climb on and adds an interesting touch to the garden corner. Spider Plants (Chlorophytum comosum) are a fantastic border plant and ground cover. (in the bottom corner with stripey green and white foliage.
Behind the Pentas you can see the Red Edged dragon Tree (Dracaena marginata) providing height and structure to the Pentas shrub which can be quite rambling otherwise. The Spiral Ginger (Costus pictus) is a fantastic tropical foliage plant and is the backdrop of this garden, in the top right hand corner.
In front of the Spiral Ginger (Costus pictus) there is a stunning Cordyline which, in time, will poke its colourful out above the Ginger foliage. A cute dwarf palm, the Bottle Palm (Hyophorbe lagenicaulis) can be seen next to the Cordyline, and Rhoeo spathacea, 'Mozes in a Cradle', with its purple foliage has been grown as ground cover on the right hand side of the photo.

Hmm, never thought Spider Plants could look so good! Always have thought of them as old fashioned and common as you-know-what, but this look fantastic! Would be a great plant to use as ground cover or border, so fast growing and tough as nails.
