TOPIC: Cycads
#140
Cycads 1 Year, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi, I need some advice. I have 6 cycads and all seem to be doing fine and were a healthy dark green until about two weeks ago, 1 of them started to turn yellow.

Does anyone know why it would do this and what can I do help it back to good health?

thanks

Hey mate,
What kind of cycads are they? Can you post some pics at all? Sounds like they might like something to eat - have you given them any fertilizer? It would be good if we could see some pictures of the cycads and also the growing conditions, pot size and soil type, how long have you had them, are they in full sun, how big are they?
Good luck!

Hi, Please find attached copy of photo.

I have had these cycads for about 10months now. Soil conditions are a sandy dirt on top with dirt and clay about a foot and a half down. The garden is mulched with sugar cane and they plants were fertilised back in April with a slow release fertiliser. Every couple of months I will put a seaweed solution bottle on the hose and just give my plants a hit of this.

These plants only get the morning sun.

Hope this helps and thanks for any assistance
