The Buzz is the Bee-a-thon Encore

The rebroadcast of the Bee-a-thon is a ‘free’ online event and includes chat sessions and video.

Bees have been stereotyped long enough and the Bee-a-thon strives to promote the understanding of bees as vital world inhabitants and not just as pests around the shed. This enthralling rebroadcast is on Sunday November 13th and is available to the universe on the World Wide Web at http://www.yourgardenshow.com/bee-a-thon. Hear from experts and beekeepers about the important environmental impact that bees have on the world and our societies.

The event lasts from 9am-9pm United States Pacific Time or Midnight to Noon (12am-12pm) November 14th Australia EST.

Protect your Gifts / Goods

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forestry (DAFF), has posted a reminder for the public concerning Australia’s biosecurity system. November and December brings the holidays and the holidays bring increased air travel, gift buying, and package sending. It is important to review the information to prevent your goods (gift orders, travel souvenirs, or holiday packages) being confiscated for violating quarantine guidelines. DAFF reiterates the importance of every individual doing their part to decrease the risk when ordering online and traveling abroad. DAFF outlines the initiative by stating “Australia’s biosecurity system protects our plant, animal and human health by managing the risk of unwanted pests and diseases arriving in the country…”

A range of free workshops will be held on Friday 11 November but places are limited and bookings are essential.
