19 July 2011
Hug a tree, grow a tree, or just get outside and see the trees. National Tree Day is Sunday July 31, 2011 and many school children will celebrate on Friday the 29th by participating in learning activities and planting their own tree seeds. Over 300,000 people across Australia joined this initiative last year and large numbers are expected again.
Outside activities are important for the children and receiving enlightenment from the world of trees is priceless.
If you go to the website for National Tree Day, there is a guide to your nearest Tree Day celebration.
