Have you heard of the Brisbane Garden Recovery? They are a small group founded by two garden lovers that wanted to help the unfortunate victims of January’s devastating floods around Brisbane. The group is funded by donations consisting of plants, mulches, soil and teamwork. I discovered this magnificent initiative while browsing the Queensland Gardening website which states: ‘To date, the group has restored over 150 gardens through 12 suburbs.’
This is a truly remarkable effort that supports the garden community and helps ease the pain of flood victims. The Brisbane Garden Recovery group can always use donations in the form of cuttings, spare plants or garden supplies.
