Plant Sizes & Photo's
When you browse through our garden plants you will also see a summary of the plant description. We recommend you click on the title of the plant, or on 'product details' to see the full description, which includes the size of the plants, growing conditions, photo's etc. You can also add the required quantity straigth to your cart by clicking on the blue 'add to cart' button.
Sometimes, rather than an 'add to cart' button, there may be no button at all, or it may have a 'notify me'button. This means that either the product is out of stock, or it is order-in only. You can click on the 'notify me' button to be notified if anything is out of stock. You can view your cart at any time by clicking on the 'cart' button in the menu at the top of the page, next to the login button.
Any coupon codes can now be entered, and you can adjust the quantity, add, or delete items in your cart. Once you are satisfied, click 'checkout', which will take you to the next step. If you are a returning customer, you can fill in your login name and password and sign in. If you are a new customer please fill out your details here.
Our one-page checkout has only 4 steps:
1. Fill out your postal details under '1'
2. Fill out your payment details under '2'
3. Check your order under '3'
4. Read & Agree to the terms and conditions and confirm your order under '4'!
We accept credit cards, paypal and bank deposit. The 'CSV' code for credit card payments are usually the last 3 digits on the back of your credit card. All transactions are through our secure site, and credit cards are processed through Eway, Australia's most used and trusted secure payment gateway. We do NOT store credit card information!
If you have selected PayPal you will be taken to the paypal website where you can log in. If you have selected bank deposit, you will need to transfer the funds to our account after you send us your order. Our details are listed on the confirmation page in the checkout.
Plants as gift
Live plants make a wonderful gift for birthdays and other occasions, and we can send your plants as a gift to someone else. Just leave us a note in checkout in the comment box. Please specify where the parcel should be sent to, and who it is from. You can also purchase gift vouchers. Please be aware that we can’t guarantee delivery dates.
National Tropicals Plant Nursery is an online nursery and mailorder nursery only, we do not have a retail location to visit. Our business hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 9am to 4pm. We are closed on Sunday's and Monday's.
All payments are processed through our shopping cart protected by secure SSL. Payment is accepted through bank deposit, credit card and PayPal. We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

For bank deposits, please use your name or invoice number as a reference to help us identify your payment. From the time of ordering, payment is expected within 7 days. For items which are ordered in for you, payment is expected up front. Any quotes given are valid for 14 days

All our garden plants are posted via Australia Post's E-parcel unless otherwise stated. The postage price depends on the amount of plants, and the size and weight. The easiest way to get a postage quote is to add the plants to your cart and use our postage calculator. Simply enter your postcode and a quote appears. Orders arrive from Tuesday to Friday, depending on your location. The postage calculator also states how much weight you can add for the same postage price, so you can add some additional plants and pay the same postage.
We take great care in preparing our plants for transport which requires some preparation, and therefore we have a cut-off time for our orders. We can only pack & post orders which are paid for BEFORE Friday 12pm this week. Orders which are paid for after 12pm on Friday will be posted the following week. We only post orders on Monday's to give them plenty of time to arrive before the weekend.
We CANNOT take orders for delivery to Western Australia, Tasmania or overseas.
Being located in country Central Queensland, we are located in a very central position to supply the whole of Australia. We specifically cater for rural customers, and have many customers in remote parts of Australia, including Weipa, Groote Eiland (Thank you Alyangula customers!), Tennant Creek & Coober Pedy. Even Nhulunbuy in the Northern Territory! We thank you all for your support, and welcome all new customers from remote; and non-remote areas!
