Dwarf Coconut Palm (Malay Bronze)

The Malayan Bronze Dwarf Coconut Palm bears bronze to red coloured fruits. Trunks are tapering, and slightly bulbous at the base.

• Dwarf Coconut plants flower in the 3rd year in ideal conditions. They are suitable as indoor plant for 18-24 months. Dwarf Coconuts are generally precocious; they increase in size at a slower rate & mature early. Dwarf Coconut palms are higher yielding than tall Coconuts, as fruits have been selected for larger volume-to-husk ratio.
• Dwarf Coconuts are generally self-pollinating, due to the male & female flowers opening at the same time. They grow very slowly to 5-12m tall (Tall coconuts grow to 30m+)
