Please note we don't supply coconut plants any more! This information is for reference purposes only.The Malay Gold Dwarf Coconut bears golden coconut fruit. Water and flesh are beautifully sweet. Frond petioles are yellow to orange, trunks are tapering and slightly bulbous at the base.Dwarf Coconuts flower in their 3rd year in ideal conditions. They are suitable as indoor plants for 18-24 months. Dwarf coconuts palms are generally precocious, which means they increase in size at a slower rate but mature early. Dwarf Coconuts are higher yielding than tall Coconuts, as fruits have been selected for larger volume-to-husk ratio. Dwarf Coconut palms are generally self-pollinating, due to the male & female flowers opening at the same time, and they grow to 5-12m tall (Tall coconuts grow to 30m+).
