By Ray Thorpe
Natural, grown, or imported herbs that are harmless, non-addictive, hangover free, beneficial, legal and available in Australasia.
Happy High Herbs is about Happy High Herbs. Herbs that are currently available within Australia, wether native, Australian grown or imported. The happy high herbs described are happy highs because they are uplifting, generally mildly euphoric without the comedown, hangover or side effects that chemical drugs can give. Certainly none of them are addictive. The few herbs described in this book which may be potentially harmful if used inappropriately, are listed in the interest of public safety only.
To this day, there is still much ignorance about natural herbs. Yet herbs are naturally here for us. Herbs are not drugs. Nobody craves natural herbs. Whole plants generally contain natural counter balances to reduce the chemical imbalances that result in side effects and ‘come down’.
Happy High Herbs describes natural unadulterated herbs that are meant for us to enjoy without harm or hangover. These same herbs have been tested and enjoyed over centuries by cultures that came before us. Without the herbs, we would probably never have survived as a species. They are on this planet to benefit us. Through these pages we welcome you on a journey back to nature and its wonderful bountiful harvest.

About the Author
I feel absolutely blessed to be the one who loves and lives with this amazing man. Ray is the most fair-minded, generous and enthusiastic of beings, with a flair for mixing business with spirituality, work with pleasure and a sense of fun and adventure to life. Ray has always been pro-active and bold in the defence of a worthy cause or an injustice – super-hero if ever I met one.
I’ve observed his interest in plants grow its tendrils throughout his whole being and bloom in his heart. His passion is awesome and unshakeable as was shown in 1997 when it was put to the test. His interest became a cause when our home was invaded by representatives of the T.G.A. (Therapeutic Goods Administration) and drug squad officers. Ray was arrested and charged with possession of Ephedra, a stimulant herb containing a small amount of natural ephedrine. Ray defended the plant and himself staunchly for 12 months and many hearings. The charges were finally dropped. If anything, this attack against nature has made Ray more determined to promote appreciation, education, benefits, culture and freedom for natural herbs and plants.
This is our mission statement. Ray reckons our brains are biochemical computers and plants the biochemical software. He’s been downloading, testing and researching for over ten years. Ray is a walking, talking example of the vitality and energy that plants give. He’s my Ray of sunshine! Enjoy the book and the herbs.
Love to all, Elizabeth
